イギリスで2020年最も売れたアナログレコードのアルバムとシングルの公式チャートが公開された。
同国のレコード販売は13年連続で成長を続けており、昨年は480万枚のアナログレコードを販売。90年代以来の最もアナログレコードを売り上げたという。また、この傾向はアメリカでも同様で、アナログレコードの販売枚数は30年ぶりの高水準に達している。
Vinyl Factoryによると2020年の販売傾向は、例年どおり、リイシュー盤が市場の売上を独占しており、最も売れたアルバムのトップ10のうち7枚がリイシューだった。Fleetwood Mac『Rumours』がトップで、Oasis『What’s The Story Morning Glory』、Amy Winehouse『Back to Black』が続いた。新譜では、Harry Styles『Fine Line』が5位、Arctic Monkeys『Live At The Royal Albert Hall』、IDLES『Ultra Mono』が10位にランクインしている。
シングルでは、Liam Gallagher「All You’re Dreaming Of」が1位を獲得し、2位に Joy Division「Love Will Tear Us Apart」、3位にRolling Stones「Living In A Ghost Town」が続いた。
