Moog Musicがシンセサイザーの名機Minimoog Model DをモデリングしたiPhone、iPad向けのiOSアプリ「Minimoog Model D Synthesizer App」の無償配布を開始した。同アプリは64bit iOSデバイスでの使用に最適化したもので、160以上のファクトリープリセットが使用可能になっている。

iOSプラットフォームを最大限に活用したMinimoog Model Dアプリには、アナログの前例にはない、多くの刺激的なサウンド作成ツールと機能が組み込まれている。
最大4音ポリフォニー発音によるコード演奏が可能なほか、リズミカルなパターン作成用の使いやすいアルペジエーター、無制限のオーバーダビング機能を備えたリアルタイムループレコーダー、テンポ同期可能なステレオ・ピンポンディレイ、ベンダー・タイム・モジュレーションなどが付属。
またAUv3 Audio Unit拡張によるAppleのGarageBandなど互換性のあるiOSアプリ内で同時使用が可能。そのほかにも、Inter-App Audio、Audiobus、MIDIマッピング機能やシームレスなiCloudとの同期、Ableton Linkなども付属しており、外部連携サポートも充実している。
