現地時間9月8日（日本時間9月9日）に行われたパリパラリンピック閉会式に20組以上のフランスを拠点に活動する有名DJ/プロデューサーが出演。DJパフォーマンス「The journey of the wave」を披露した。
今回のパラリンピック閉会式は、Thomas Jollyが芸術監督、Victor le Masneが音楽監督を務めたほか、演出家として世界最大のエレクトロニック・ショーのプロデューサー兼ディレクターである Romain Pissenemが参加。DJパフォーマンスにはAgoria、Alan Braxe、Anetha、Boston Bun、Breakbot & Irfane、Busy P、Cassius、Chloe、Chloé Caillet、DJ Falcon、Étienne De Crécy、Grег、Irène Drésel、Jean-Michel Jarre、Kavinsky、Kiddy Smile、Kittin、Kungs、Martin Solveig、Nathalie Duchene、Ofenbach、Polo & Pan、Tatyana Jane and The Avenerら24組が出演した。
パラリンピック閉会式では、フランスの伝説的電子音楽家のJean-Michel Jarreが、8万人を超える観客やアスリート、仏・マクロン大統領を含むフランスの要人らの前でライブセットを披露。さらに”フレンチタッチ”の中心的なグループであったCassiusは、メンバーだった故Philippe Zdarの死後初となるパフォーマンスを披露した。また、DJパフォーマンスの最後に出演したMartin SolveigがDaft Punkの代表曲「One More Time」をプレイしたことも注目を集めた。

なお、閉会式に出演したKavinskyは、PhoenixやAirらとともにパリオリンピック閉会式にも出演。Daft PunkのGuy-Manuel de Homem-Christoとの共同プロデュース楽曲「Nightcall」を披露した。同曲はその影響で「1日の最多Shazam回数」の記録を更新している。
