Björkが5年ぶりのアルバム『Fossora』のリリース日が9月30日になることを発表した。また同時に自身が鮮やかな菌類の地下世界の上にしゃがんでいる姿を描いてたアルバムのカバーアートも公開している。
カバーアートは、Vidar Logiが撮影し、BjörkとJames Merryがクリエイティブ・ディレクター担当している。

すでにガバの影響があることを明かしていた『Fossora』だが、今回発表された声明でも「低音、重いボトムエンドがテーマで、6本のバスクラリネットとパンチのあるサブべースがあります」と言及している。『Fossora』からの「Atopos」は、Instagramの投稿によると近日リリース予定だ。
なお、Björkは「Björk:Sonic Symbolism」というポッドキャストも開始する。最初の3つのエピソードは、自身のアルバム『Debut』、『Post』、『Homogenic』に関するもので、9月1日から配信される予定だ。
